LAWRENCE D. MANDEL is a member of
the Bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is admitted to U.S. District Court,
District of New Jersey, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Southern and
Eastern Districts of New York and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Mandel is a member of the American Bar Association (member, Section of
Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law; Forum on Entertainment and Sports
Industries.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1976 from University of
Connecticut. In 1981, Mr. Mandel received a Professional Diploma in Film
Scoring, cum laude, from Berklee College of Music. He received his Juris
Doctorate with honors in 1989 from Rutgers University, where he was a member of
the Order of the Coif. In addition, he served as articles editor of the Rutgers
Computer and Technology Law Journal. Mr. Mandel has extensive experience in the
areas of trademarks and copyrights, with particular emphasis in the development
and management of worldwide trademark portfolios.
Mr. Mandel has engaged in private practice for several years and was associated with a firm whose primary area of expertise and activity is the securement of worldwide trademark development and enforcement. Mr. Mandel's experience accordingly extends to related contractual and litigation matters in the area of trademarks as well as in the area of copyrights.
