ROGER RATHBUN
is a registered Patent Attorney practicing in the areas
of mechanical and electro-mechanical arts. He recently retired as
Patent Counsel for The BOC Group, Inc., a multinational gas company
having sales of 4 billion dollars. At BOC, he was responsible for
several business units of BOC's subsidiary, Ohmeda Inc., relating to
medical products and medical devices including anesthesia machines;
medical ventilators; medical monitors; infant-care equipment; and
medical devices such as catheters, injection sites and vascular access
devices. His employment with BOC extended over 28 years; and during
that time, he engaged in a full-range ofIntellectual Property work
including Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights and both Domestic and
International Patent and Technology Licensing.
He received his BSME degree
from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in
1959; a J.D. degree in
1965 from Georgetown University where he was an Associate Editor on The
Law Review and a Masters in Law (LLM) from New York University in
1969 specializing in Trade Regulation. Mr. Rathbun is licensed to
practice in the States of New Jersey and New York as well as before the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
He is a member of the American Bar Association; the New Jersey State Bar Association; the New York State Bar Association; the American Intellectual Property Law Association; and the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association.
