DAVID A. JACKSON is a registered patent attorney and the founding member of Klauber & Jackson LLC. David’s practice involves all aspects of intellectual property including evaluating, preparing, prosecutiing and licensing patents as well as trademarks and copyrights. Although David has been involved in a vast array of technologies, he presently concentrates his efforts in the fields of biotechnology and medicinal chemistry. He was one of the early pioneers involved in the patenting of biotechnology and life science inventions both in the United States and internationally. Also, he spends a great deal of time advising and counseling clients regarding freedom to operate and validity issues, maximizing intellectual property protection, and orchestrating product development, He entered private practice in 1977 after three years as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, worked for three years as inhouse patent counsel at the Olin Corporation in New Haven, Connecticut, and has been with Klauber & Jackson since 1988.
